I cannot believe I haven’t posted in over 2 years! I haven’t reviewed in so long either. Blogging just wasn’t a priority in the stage of life I was in.
Now, I really am ready to dive back in. I hope you will continue to join me, even though it has been years! I look forward to meeting new blogger friends too!
I had no work or other responsibilities during January so I took the time to get some much needed rest. It was so nice to have days with no expectations.
I want to give the blog a fresh new look. I started this blog way back in 2012 and with the neglect over the last few years I think a new look is what this blog needs. Stay tuned for that.
I have a few reading goals this year:
- Read 100 books. This is kinda crazy, since over the past few years I’ve only managed about 50 a year. But I used to be able to do it and want to see if I can once more.
- Read books I own. There are so many books on my shelf and in my kindle that I haven’t read yet, which is part of the reason I want to read 100 books.
- Read more books from Australian authors that are from smaller publishers and self published. (I will be reading international authors too!)
Here are the books I received for Christmas, and a sneak peek into some of the books I’ll be reviewing this year:

I will be joing the Australian YA challenge hosted by Amy from Lost in A Good Book. I will do a seperate post about that.
My reading tastes have changed some since my old reviewing days. I still like ya, fantasy, sci-fi and romance, but I read clean fiction now. I prefer no swearing, low heat, not too violent or dark, and I also read faith-based/inspirational fiction.
I am still writing, and didn’t stop during my blogging hiatus. To keep this post from getting too long, I will do a seperate post on that.
That’s it from me.
What are some of your reading goals for 2024?
All the best for all your goals 🙏🏽👍
Thank you!

Welcome back to blogging! As someone who had a few years where posts were few and far between it’s a great feeling when you have the time/energy to commit again.
Thank you!
