Official Bio:
Rochelle L. Sharpe is a Christian writer from Australia. She writes stories set in fantastical worlds and this one. She loves reading, dabbles in poetry and sometimes remembers to venture outside. She would own a dragon if she could.
She has published flash fiction online at Havok publishing and has stories in two anthologies.
More about me:
I am an Aussie who loves Jesus. I am married with two young adult children and have the most adorable cattle dog.
I’ve been telling stories since I could talk and started writing them down when I was eight.
I am a member of Omega Writers (an organisation supporting Australian Christian writers).
I’d love to connect with you via Instagram, X, or Goodreads (Links on the home page.)
I am also an avid reader and love talking about the books I have read.
What I write:
I write contemporary romance, fantasy – including romantasy, and the occasional sci-fi. My stories are clean, with heart, hope and always a happily ever after. Sometimes I throw in a little humour. Most of my stories are faith based.
I write for middle grade, YA and adult.
What I like to read:
I love fantasy from middle grade to adult. I read only clean fantasy. No swearing, sweet heat level and not too violent. I love a good fairytale retelling. I also enjoy a good (clean) romantasy.
Authors such as J.J Fischer, Morgan L. Busse, Gillian Bronte Adams, Lynette Noni, Lindsay A. Franklin, and Melanie Dickerson are some of my favourite fantasy authors.
I also love contemporary stories, especially a good rom-com. Whether it be YA or Adult.
Some of my current favourite contemporary authors include Carolyn Miller, Lisa Renee, Meredith Resce and Hannah Currie.
I also like historical fiction. I found Carolyn Miller through her regency novels which are so good. I especially love Australian historical fiction such as Daughter of the Hunter Valley and Among the Grey Gums by Paula J. Beavan.
I also love Amish fiction. My favourite authors include Kelly Irvin, Kathleen Fuller, Amy Clipston, Vanetta Chapman, Shelley Shepard Gray, and Beth Wiseman. I like it light, sweet and romantic. (Not Amish suspense.)
I also read non-fiction books on writing, parenting, health, and Christian living.
I don’t generally like suspense or thrillers. I do not read horror.
I love supporting Australian authors, as well as self-published/independent authors.
I am looking forward to sharing more of my stories with you in the future!
no problem, thanks.
Thanks for the nomination, I really appreciate it, but I have actually been nominated for this award once before so I won’t be doing it again. Thanks for thinking of me and congratulations on your Liebster ๐
๐
True.
Of course, they don’t need to be scary. It depends on the mind!
Yes, some minds are much more terrifying than others. I prefer the less scary, although my mind sometimes comes up with stories more scary than I thought I’d be able to.
Isn’t that the truth! Sometimes we can be shocked by our own mind!
Sorry Claire for taking so long to get back to you about the Liebster award. Thank you for the nomination, I really appreciate it. I was nominated for this award awhile ago so I won’t be doing it again, sorry. I really do appreciate it though and am glad you love reading my posts because I love reading your too.
