December was a great month for me on the short story front.
My flash fiction story ‘The Old Dragon’ published on December 11th. It is no longer free, but Havok members can still read it.

I wrote a fantasy short story. I have had this story brewing in my head for months, so when I sat down to write it, I did it fairly quickly. I sent it off to be beta read, edited it once more, and submitted it to a competition here in Australia. I love this story so much, and would be thrilled to have it featured in this fantasy anthology.
I also started working on a Christmas short story ‘ A Dragon for Christmas.’ I am writing it and releasing it as i I go, posting a chapter a day (most days anyway, and not Sundays). I had planned to release this in three parts between December 20th and 25th but I ran out of time, so decided to release it a chapter at a time instead. If you click on the ‘A Dragon for Christmas’ tab you can read it from the beginning.
Lastly, I took a break from working on my novels during December. I submitted five different novels to four different publishers this year, so, understandably, my brain was done.
