I have had a busy but productive November, writing wise. I submitted two novels to two different publishers, which I will talk more about below.

Short Stories:

I didn’t have the time to work on my short stories this month.

During November, my Therrus flash fiction story released on Havok, which I was so excited about. If you are a member of Havok and didn’t get a chance to read it, you can! Sorry non members but you no longer can. If you are a fan of flash fiction though, you might want to consider becoming a member. It is only $4.99 US a year.

Speaking of Havok…though this not technically a November writing update, I’d like to remind you that my Scrooge story comes out on December 11th so mark your calendars! You will be able to read it for free for 24 hours only!

December 11th is going to be a good day because the Seasons of Romantasy: Winter anthology is set to be released! I am so excited for you to read my story. I’ll post links when they are available.

Novels:

If you didn’t know, for the past few months I’ve been working on a graphic novel script. It was due on November 30th for a competition so my main focus for November was editing it. It was tough, and I do wish I had just a bit more time to edit it, but I got it done as best I could and submitted it with only a day to go. It did feel strange when I sat down to write on December 1st and didn’t have the graphic novel to work on anymore!

Also, a publisher here in Australia opened submissions to a special line they created of short novels for reluctant teens. You only needed to send in the first two chapters and a synopsis. So, I came up with an idea, wrote the first two chapters (and snuck in a short but necessary prologue) with the synopsis and sent it off. I am really excited about this novel. It is an earth set, contemporary sci-fi that is just a whole lot of fun (no alien invasions here)! I am really hoping the publisher likes it and it gets accepted. It was so fun to write something set in Australia.

Other:

I came up with an idea for a surprise project that I am super excited about. I will do a separate project reveal soon. You won’t have to wait long for this one. Think of it as my little gift to you.

That’s it from me.

How did your writing go in November?

If you don’t write, how did your reading, or other project go during November?

I love to hear from you, so let me know below!
