Blurb:

In realms of new tales and ancient legends, dragons take flight in this collection of stories filled with courage, heroism, and sacrifice in the dark unknown.

Whether fighting foes on a battlefield or struggling against inner demons, these heroes in Amidst Fury and Valor remind us that true bravery is facing our dragons even when afraid.

My Thoughts:

5 stars.

Amidst Fury and Valor is a must read anthology for dragon lovers. Which I am.

I was blown away by just how strong a collection of stories this was. I enjoyed every single one of them, which is rare as there are usually at least one or two stories in a multi-author collection that I don’t enjoy as much as the rest. This is a special anthology as this collection has been put together in order to raise money and bring joy to a teen who is battling his own dragon: cancer. 85% of royalties will go to support him and his family. So not only will you get an amazing collection of stories, you will also be helping a good cause.

There was a variety of settings including fantasy and modern, and I loved that there were.
The anthology opens with a beautiful poem written by the mother of the teen boy this collection was created for.
There was plenty of action and adventure in these stories, as well as heartfelt and touching moments.
The stories I found most fun were Gorlac’s Gauntlet and Teenage Knights in Faded Blue Jeans.
And the story that touched my heart the most was Little Rider.
But as I said, all the stories were remarkably good.

Although this was written for a teen audience, adults would enjoy it just as much. I certainly did.
This collection was clean without any swearing or sexual content. There was some violence, but nothing gratuitous.

If you are a fan of fantasy short story anthologies, this is one not to be missed. I highly recommend it.
