Synopsis from Goodreads:

“Complicated” doesn’t begin to cover it.

Chance McMillan has filmed over fifty weddings, but none have gotten under his skin quite like this one. Not because of the bride and groom—but because of Melissa Turner, the sharp-tongued Australian food photographer who’s swooped in to “help.” He’d planned every detail meticulously, and she’s throwing his vision into chaos.Melissa didn’t fly halfway around the world to play nice. Between raising her daughter solo and building her brand, she’s learned to hold her ground. But something shifts when she glimpses the gentle way Chance handles both his camera and his young son. When he proposes they collaborate on a documentary, she finds herself tempted by more than just the career opportunity. But with two kids, two careers, and the Pacific Ocean between them, “complicated” doesn’t begin to cover it.

If you enjoy sweet and clean romances with a satisfying HEA, this one’s for you.

My Thoughts:

4 stars.

This was a well written, sweet, clean romance that I really enjoyed.

Funny and handsome single dad, Chance, finds himself attracted to the pretty Australia single mum working the same wedding as him. Wanting to spend more time with her, he offers her a job helping him on his latest short term project. Melissa accepts the offer, but makes it clear things must stay professional.

Melissa is guarded. She has no interest in a relationship, certainly not marriage, and certainly not with an American. Her life is in Australia, it would never work between them. Despite her defenses, she finds that Chance’s American charm is hard to resist.

I loved the chemistry between the two characters. I loved watching Chance fall first. Both were such good parents, doing the best they can for their children. I was eagerly turning the pages waiting to see just how their HEA was going to work out.

The Distance Between Us was a fun and quick read. Lisa Renee never fails to produce laugh out loud moments. If you love sweet and clean romances, this one is not to be missed.
